The Crick looks for talented and motivated graduates with backgrounds in biological or biomedical sciences, physics, chemistry, engineering, mathematics or computer science to join the Crick PhD programme. Successful applicants are offered a place on the Crick PhD programme and a PhD studentship that covers:
- £26,125 tax-free student stipend (living allowance) per year for four years
- Tuition fees
- If applicable, reimbursement of the student visa application fee and immigration health surcharge
When: The Crick runs two rounds of recruitment. Applications for the main round of recruitment open in early October, with interviews in January. Applications for the spring round of recruitment open in mid-February, with interviews in May. Usually a smaller number of positions are advertised in the spring round than the main round of recruitment
Who: The Crick’s PhD programme is open to high-quality students who meet the programme eligibility criteria
Apply: Eligible applicants should apply direct through the Crick’s academic recruitment system.

Crick-Partner University PhD Student Symposium
When: Every year in early July
Who: All PhD students from across the Crick and its three university partners who have Crick-related projects are eligible to attend this event.
Apply: Ta call out for applications from students to talk, present a poster of simply to attend is communicated to students via departments and supervisors every spring.
More information: This is a student-organised event with the aims of bringing together the Crick-related PhD students who are spread across the partnership universities (Imperial College London, UCL and King’s College London). Please check back here again for updates.
